Mission Statement

Caravan World Rhythms, founded in 2000, is a non-profit charitable organizations whose mission is:

* To provide high-quality, engaging live cultural entertainment with artists from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds

* To increase the general public's understanding of the different traditions of music and dance.

* To provide the public with the experience of "spirit" that underlies the expression of tradition-based music and dance

* To provide talented local world musicians and dancers more opportunities for exposure and integration into the local art scene.

* To develop new ways for audiences to participate in cultural events, sharing in the experience of music making and movement.

FIAMMA FUMANA

From the Emilia Romagna region of Northern Italy, comes an extraordinatry collaboration between folk/electronic band FIAMMA FUMANA and the 18 women of the MONDINE DI NOVI CHOIR. Together they present a multi-generational inspirational concert that relives the remarkable story the the women who toiled in the fice fields of the region, and their struggles during WWII. From mother to daughter to you - come hear their powerful story in song and celebration!
